1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Seriously Match (the "Service"), including account registration, email verification, onboarding, profile creation, matching and swiping, messaging, social feed, stories, events, notifications, and related features. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Seriously Match. You represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Your account

You may register with email and password or, where offered, through Google or Facebook sign-in. You must complete any verification steps we require (such as email verification) before certain features are available. You agree not to impersonate others, create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, or share access in a way that violates these Terms.

4. Community conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Harass, abuse, threaten, defame, or discriminate against any person or group.
• Post or send illegal content, hate speech, graphic violence, or sexually explicit material involving minors.
• Solicit money, promote scams, pyramid schemes, or unauthorized commercial spam.
• Collect or scrape user data, automate swiping or messaging in a way that degrades the Service, or bypass security.
• Upload malware or attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data.

We may investigate reports, remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.

5. Content you provide

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, text, stories, posts, etc.). You grant Seriously Match a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Service. You confirm you have the rights to grant this license and that your content does not infringe third-party rights.

6. Matching, messaging, and social features

Matches and recommendations are provided for convenience; we do not guarantee any particular outcome or relationship. Messages and public or semi-public areas (such as feed or stories) may be visible to other users according to product behavior. Use good judgment when sharing personal details with people you meet online.

7. Events

Event listings are informational. Seriously Match is not responsible for third-party venues, ticketing, or safety at in-person gatherings. Attend events at your own discretion and follow applicable laws and venue rules.

8. Intellectual property

The Seriously Match name, branding, software, and original materials are owned by us or our licensors. Except for the limited rights granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SERIOUSLY MATCH AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (USD), UNLESS APPLICABLE LAW REQUIRES OTHERWISE.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Seriously Match and its officers, directors, employees, and contractors from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue or materially change the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including licenses to the extent necessary to retain archived records, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires a different process.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Seriously Match, excluding conflict-of-law rules where prohibited. Courts with competent jurisdiction may hear disputes, unless consumer protection law in your country gives you mandatory rights to bring claims elsewhere.
